We want to take our time this week to thank all of our viewers who helped us with the coverage of Monday's storms.
Our First Alert StormTeam prides itself on having all of the latest technology to be able to protect our community during severe weather. Monday, it was obvious that one of our most important new tools is the army of viewers that we have out there equipped with smartphones.
We received many first-hand accounts of what was happening with the weather as it was happening. We got the news from every corner of our viewing area by text message, email and social media. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and that's certainly true when you look at photo like this one that Chad Forbes sent in. It's a still picture but I think you can hear the thunderclap.
We're very proud of the job that our team of meteorologists did on Monday, and they had a lot of help from our entire news team, but we couldn't have done without all of the contributions from you, our viewers. Thank you.
That's "Our Turn." Now, it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, visit us on Facebook or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
