BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Authorities said the driver in a single-vehicle crash Thursday night has died from her injuries.
Louisiana State Police reported Jonquelle Henry, 24, of Baton Rouge, died Tuesday. A 3-year-old girl suffered minor injuries.
Troopers said the wreck happened on Gardere Lane at GSRI Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on April 16.
Investigators reported the evidence showed Henry lost control of the vehicle and hit a metal pole. They said they are still trying to determine what caused her to lose control, but added the tires on the vehicle were worn and had no tread.
Troopers said they do not suspect alcohol or drugs as contributing factors in the crash, but stated Henry was not properly buckled at the time of the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
