Authorities said an arrest warrant has been issued for a convicted sex offender who has failed to register as such.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reported Wade Pardue, 36, no address given, started the process of filling the proper paperwork on February 23 to register, but did not pay the required fees and does not live at the address he gave to detectives.

Pardue is 5'9" tall and weighs 179 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. Lt. Col. Bobby Webre with APSO said Pardue has tattoos all over his body, including several on his face.

Officials stated Pardue was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in August 1999 and was placed on probation until April 22, 2004. They said he was also convicted of failure to register in January and May of 2011. Webre added he was released from prison in February 2015.

Anyone with information on Pardue's whereabouts is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-4636 or text 847411 to the anonymous tip line from any mobile device or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
