BRCC art professor and husband chosen to display art in New Orleans

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge Community College has announced that one of their art professors and her husband have been chosen to display their artwork at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans.

Cyndy Giachetti and her husband will display their art instillation titled Homegrown. The instillation will be a part of an exhibit at the CAC titled Reverb: Past/Present/Future. The exhibit which marks the 10-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina explores the evolution of art in the region over the last decade.

The wife and husband duo's art instillation is influenced by the landscape, architecture and culture of Louisiana and the themes of industry versus nature.

Giachetti's husband Ben Dillar is also an art professor and drawing coordinator at Southeastern Louisiana University.

The exhibit will be displayed from August 1st through November 1st.

Tickets for the general public are $10 and $8 for students and seniors.
