BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Southern University symposium focused on teaching boys the skills they need to succeed in life.
The theme of the Saturday afternoon symposium was "No Gentlemen Left Behind" and its aim was to teach boys from 9th grade and up various life skills from finances to resume writing. 17 speakers in total took to the podium to motivate and inspire those in attendance.
Ryan Tucker, the coordinator of Leadership Development Programs says that he wanted to show that there are positive role models in the African American community.
