LSU plays Georgia in doubleheader Saturday after rain out Friday

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Friday's baseball game between LSU and Georgia has been rained out. The teams will play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. ET (12 p.m. CT).

Both games of the doubleheader will have nine-inning. The second game will start about 45 minutes after the first game ends.

Saturday's doubleheader will be on SEC Network + available through and the Watch ESPN app.

The Tigers' third game with Georgia is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (12 p.m. CT).

The LSU Tigers traveled to Athens for the three-game SEC series against Georgia.

Georgia (20-18, 6-9 SEC) has lost eight of their last 10 games including a 2-1 defeat to Kennesaw State (20-17) earlier this week.

UGA is hitting .273 as a team (10th in the SEC) and have hit 29 home runs.

The Bulldogs are led at the plate by Stephen Wrenn (OF), who is hitting .327 with two doubles, three triples, five home runs, 21 RBI and 20 stolen bases.

Georgia's Jared Walsh (1B/P) is hitting .308 with 10 doubles, one triple, two home runs and 19 RBI, and Zack Bowers (C/DH) is batting .273 with 11 doubles, one triple and six home runs with 21 RBI.

LSU trails Texas A&M (34-3, 11-3 SEC) in the SEC West by 1.5 games.
