BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Members of the Louisiana legislature will participate in a flag football game on Sunday to raise funds for families of fallen Louisiana National Guard veterans.
The second annual "Truce for the Troops Bowl" will take place in Tiger Stadium, and it will pit a team of Republicans against Democrats. Both teams will be coached by two New Orleans Saints players. Zach Strief, an offensive tackle, will coach the Democrats, while Tim Lelito, a guard, will coach the Republicans.
The money raised will go to the families of the victims of the Black Hawk helicopter crash that happened in March.
Tickets for the game are $50 for adults, $10 for students, with children 12 and under getting in for free. The ticket price includes admission, a behind the scenes LSU football facility tour and a reception after the game.
Gates open at 2 p.m., and the game begins at 4 p.m.
