The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office is trying to identify two suspects who used counterfeit money.

Deputies say they purchased items with the counterfeit money at Lake Market store at 44063 Highway 431 on April 1.

The two suspects were seen leaving the store in an older model gray Dodge Caravan, added Major Hanna.

The male suspect was wearing a baseball cap, a dark colored muscle shirt and light colored shorts. The female suspect was wearing a light colored t-shirt, dark colored shorts, and flip flops.

Deputies say that over the past few weeks there have been more cases of counterfeit bills being used at several different stores in Ascension Parish.
