BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A Denham Springs man was arrested Tuesday after being accused of sexual battery and two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles.

One of the victims, an 8-year-old girl, told police she was afraid to tell her mother what happened, so she told her teacher at school.

According to the warrant, Darryl Grimmer, 63, is a plumber and was repairing a toilet at a home in Baton Rouge in March. Afterwards, he offered to drive the 8-year-old and her 9-year-old sister down the street to see the house their family was moving into soon. The girls got into Grimmer's van.

According to the documents, Grimmer asked the 8-year-old if she wanted to drive, she said "yes" and sat in Grimmer's lap. After a few moments, he asked her to stand up for a second and when she sat down she felt something on her leg.

The warrant states Grimmer exposed his penis and began playing a "nasty video" on his iPad.

The victim jumped off of his lap.

Documents say Grimmer masturbated in front of the girls.

Grimmer was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He was released Tuesday night on an $80,000 bond.

Grimmer has been convicted of indecent behavior with juveniles and obscenity.  He was investigated in Baton Rouge for allegedly following bus loads of children from St. Thomas Moore Elementary performing what police described as "a lewd act" in his van. He also intentionally exposed himself to a juvenile in his neighborhood.

In 2008, Grimmer was sentenced to five years hard labor.
