BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - It is expected to be another busy day at the Capitol, as lawmakers tackle education issues.
The House Appropriations Committee meeting will kick off where it left off Tuesday night, which was higher education. Of course, it is the critical body tackling the budget and how money is spent.
There will also be a rally on the steps to protest proposed cuts to higher education.
The Senate Committee on Education is meeting Tuesday.
There are four proposed pieces of legislation on its agenda for the day.
Those range from recreating the Department of Education to charter school funding.
