LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) - The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office and Livingston Police Department have arrested a man accused of killing the man he was living with.
Deputies are charging Joseph Wilson with manslaughter. They say the 64-year-old man beat 55-year-old Stacy Smith to death.
Police found Smith's lifeless body April 7th at roughly 9:30 p.m. in his home on Bloss Ave. Wilson was originally arrested in connection to the suspicious death after calling the police for help.
Wilson is charged with obstruction of justice for tampering with evidence and possession of schedule IV CDS.
He is still being held in the Livingston Parish Detention Center. A bond for the new charge has yet to be set.
