BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A Saturday afternoon rally on the state capitol steps calls for the government to look at environmental regulations to fix Louisiana's water, air, and coast.

Led by retired Lieutenant General Russell Honore, the self-proclaimed “Green Army” promoted a legislative agenda that would hold oil and gas companies responsible for damages that the Green Army says that the companies have caused.

"We're going to make them fix that," says Honore, “We're going to get the people in this community excited, just like they are in other communities in that fight against pollution.”

Honore also says that he will help in launching a major campaign to get Governor Jindal to make progress on environmental issues before he leaves office.
