LSU beats Auburn 3-2 in game 1 after two hour delay

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

LSU beat Auburn last night after both teams scored early in the game.

Auburn scored two runs in the top of the 1st inning to take the lead. LSU immediately responded with a pair of runs of their own tying the score at 2-2.

LSU took the lead  with one score in the bottom of the 2nd inning making the score 3-2.

Thanks to LSU's defense, the Tigers held on to win the first game of the series 3-2.

The Tigers improve to 30-5 overall.

First pitch of game two is tonight at 6:30 p.m.
