PATTERSON, LA (WAFB) - Detectives arrested a man accused of sending an inappropriate message via social media to a teen girl and trying to meet up for sex with whom he thought was a different teen girl.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office reported Louis James, 35, of Patterson, was booked early Friday morning on charges of computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a minor. No bond was set.
Deputies said they received a call from a parent of a 13-year-old claiming James sent an inappropriate message to the girl on Facebook in which he allegedly referred to her as "sweetie."
According to reports, a detective posed as a 15-year-old girl on Facebook and agreed to meet with James. Authorities added the conversation between the two included plans involving sex.
Deputies said James was taken into custody by detectives waiting nearby.
