BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Donations have been pouring into a local barber shop to help them renovate its aging Scotlandville building.
Kutt'n Korners has been overwhelmed with donations after one of its customers, Rico Williams, asked for help with the effort to restore the shop.
The building, that has been around for over 40 years, has several holes in the roof and paint coming off the walls.
The owners of the building say the barber shop is in a historic building and needs to be preserved. Williams said it is an extension of the Southern Community.
"To make it to where when you come on Southern's Campus, that you'll be able to see the Jaguar signs, the Jaguar picture and the color of it," said Williams. "To where it will attract those who are traveling up and down Scenic Highway."
The barber shop had scheduled a work day to use all these materials this weekend, but say the day will have to be rescheduled with the threat of rain and bad weather.
