Dense fog advisory leads to 'brake-tapping' along interstates

7:45 a.m. - Dense fog advisory causes "brake-tapping" from drivers on I-10 and I-12, but no major issues reported.

7:35 a.m. - Dense fog advisory issued for Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, Iberville, St. James and West Baton Rouge parishes.

6:35 a.m. - Drivers deal with thick fog in many areas. Normal backups beginning to build on the interstates.

6:15 a.m. - Fog slows drivers on interstates and highways, but no crashes reported. The fog is patchy in some areas and dense in others. No advisories.

5:30 a.m. - Thick fog seen in some outlying areas, but no traffic incidents reported.

4:50 a.m. - Plaquemine Ferry is closed due to fog. Need to take the long way around.

4:20 a.m. - All lanes are open on I-10 East on the Horace Wilkinson Bridge (New Bridge) following overnight construction.

3:50 a.m. - No traffic issues reported on any of the major roads across the Baton Rouge metro area.
