BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Students and staff at LSU now have more healthy food options thanks to the return of the LSU Dining Farmers Market.
Vendors are set up in "Free Speech Plaza" with fresh fruits and vegetables on Thursdays through the end of April.
In addition to picking up produce at a time that's convenient for them, they can enjoy samples and new recipes.
"They're able to head over here in between classes, on their way back to the dorms, back to their cars at the end of the day and grab some fresh produce," said Ellen Sturgill, marketing manager of LSU dining. "So, people love the convenience of it, since it's located right by their classes, their dorms."
It will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The only day it won't be available is April 9 when everyone's out for spring break.
