Mayors from around the world paid a special visit Wednesday to a plantation in south Louisiana.
City leaders from France, Canada, Belgium, Vietnam and at least one country in Africa gathered for a workshop at Whitney Plantation in St. John the Baptist Parish.
It was the final stop for the International Association of the Francophone Mayors 2015 Convention.
Among the topics discussed was the cultures of Africa and the West, including Louisiana.
