BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Capitol Area Animal Welfare Society will celebrate their 35th Anniversary on Saturday April 18th at City-Brooks Park Dog Park.

There will be ongoing activities during the event for families and their pets such as a one mile pet walk around the park, fitness activities, games, a raffle, exhibits and obstacle courses. Then at noon there will be a cake cutting and lemonade served by Raising Cane's.

The 35th Anniversary celebration will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 1 p.m.
