A Baton Rouge woman was arrested Thursday for simple battery, cruelty to juveniles and disturbing the peace after court documents say she kicked a juvenile and adult multiple times while they were lying on the ground.

On March 21, 2015, 33-year-old Monique Nicole Milton was involved in a large fight in the 8200 block of Skysail Ave. During the fight, a juvenile and an adult were both battered. The battered adult shot three times in the air with a firearm, according to documents.

The officer on scene did not have proof of all people involved, until a video was posted on Facebook and it was brought to the officer's attention.

The video shows Milton kicking the juvenile and adult multiple times. According to the affidavit of probable cause, the juvenile's mother told officers her daughter was in extreme physical pain and was losing consciousness the night after the fight.

The officer contacted Milton, and she denied being involved in the fight until the officer showed her the video. Milton then admitted it was her in the video, but she said she did not realize she was kicking a juvenile.

Milton was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. No bond has been set at this time.

A few visitors learned to never turn their back on a tiger. Fortunately, this tiger was in an enclosed space.
