DONALDSONVILLE, LA (WAFB) - A man who was out on bond for a charge of intent to distribute marijuana in 2014 was arrested Wednesday during a traffic stop after deputies found marijuana and promethazine with codeine in the vehicle he was driving.
Deputies pulled over 34-year-old Michael Howard for traffic violations. They found the drugs after searching his vehicle. During the investigation, deputies learned Howard held an active bench warrant and did not have a valid driver's license or registration papers for the vehicle he was driving.
Howard was arrested and charged with possession of schedule II CDS, possession of marijuana, failure to signal, no driver's license, and owner to secure registration.
He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and released on Thursday, March 26 after posting a $31,377 bond.
