Suspect in Quida Mae Dr. shooting turns himself in

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested the suspect in the Quita Mae Drive shooting, officials say.

Yovanna Anibal Ramos-Salazar, 31, the lead suspect in a deadly shooting on Quita Mae Drive on Sunday, March 22, turned himself in, according to Baton Rouge Police Cpl. Don Cappola.

He is accused of shooting 28-year-old Joel Guevara multiple times outside of his residence on Quita Mae. Detectives said they believe Ramos-Salazar shot Guevara after finding out Guevara allegedly raped one of his relatives.

Ramos-Salazar is charged with second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. His bond is set at $400,000.
