A state-wide initiative aims to give kids a fun and informative look into starting their own business.

Lemonade Day Louisiana will get kids to start, own, and operate their very own lemonade stand.

Participants signing up for the event will be instructed to pick up a backpack at a backpack pickup location. The backpack will have all of the materials needed to start their stand.

Todd Graves and Co-Founder John Georges has chosen CEO's in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Lafayette this year to promote it.

"My first business experience, just like John Georges, my co-founder, was doing a lemonade stand as a kid," says Graves, "And doing it as a kid, I have over 220 restaurants serving fresh lemonade and I think that's neat."

Graves's goal is to have 18,000 kids signed up for Lemonade Day on May 2. Lemonade Day. Sign up and registration information is available HERE.
