Deputies search for 3 contractors who allegedly took money from people without finishing the work

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Investigators are on the lookout for three men accused of collecting money from homeowners in separate cases without completing the work.

The Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers reported Marland Hunter, 42; Craig Brown, 51; and Leon Williams, 56, are wanted.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said Hunter failed to show up for court on March 6 for sentencing on two counts of home improvement fraud.

He is described as 5'8" tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair.

EBRSO said Brown took money from a homeowner for roof repairs he never started. He faces a charge of contractors misapplication of payment.

Brown is 5'8" tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office said Williams did not show up for his court date on January 7. He is charged with home improvement fraud.

Williams is 6'2" tall and weighs 240 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

Officials warn people to be cautious when hiring someone to do work for them.
