WALKER, LA (WAFB) - Walker Police arrested two guys who allegedly stole stuff from several cars.

Officers were on patrol in the Three Lakes neighborhood when they caught Connor Crenshaw and John Anderson acting suspicious early Saturday morning.

Crenshaw, of Baton Rouge, was first found by police crouching behind a vehicle and told the officers that he and Anderson were in the area to roll a house with toilet paper. However the officers did not believe his story as Crenshaw did not have any toilet paper on him.

Anderson, of Denham Springs, was located a few minutes later, and both were questioned. Police determined that Crenshaw and Anderson were stealing cash, jewelry and other items from unlocked cars.

Both Crenshaw and Anderson are charged with 12 counts of simple burglary and have been booked into the Livingston Parish Prison. Crenshaw was released on a $250,000 bond, and Anderson remains in jail with bond set at $250,000.

The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are possible.

The suspects were unable to tell police exactly who the stolen items belonged to as it was dark and they are unfamiliar with the area. The Walker Police ask anyone living in the Three Lakes Subdivision who believes that they had valuables taken from their vehicle Friday night or early Saturday morning to call (225) 664-3125.
