BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Extended hours began today at the LSU Health Baton Rouge Urgent Care Center on Foster Drive and Gus Young Avenue.
These changes come as Baton Rouge General prepares to close their Mid-City emergency room next week.
"Urgent Care Clinics are really efficiently set up with equipment and providers to treat things like sprains and strains, flu and fever and minor broken bones," says Laura Davis, an administrator at the clinic. "We can do that efficiently and effectively in a convenient location for our patients."
The clinic will now be open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. seven days week. The 24-hour clinic on Airline Highway will also be adding CT and MRI testing to accommodate patients needs.
