BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - St. Ferdinand Street near Downtown Baton Rouge has been turned into a two-way street.
The conversion was set to begin Monday morning, but the change was delayed until Wednesday afternoon.
Ingolf Partenheimer, chief traffic engineer, said the goal was to beat Fest for All, which is happening this weekend. He added officials did not want to push the process back another week.
St. Ferdinand is now a two-way street between North Boulevard and Highland Road. St. Louis was also turned into a two-way street. Transportation officials said they're doing it to help ease traffic in the area.
