Police identify suspect in deadly Quida Mae shooting

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge Police have identified the suspect in a deadly shooting that took the life of 28-year-old Joel Guevara on Sunday around 8 p.m. in the 5800 block of Quida Mae.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported the shooting happened Sunday in the 5800 block of Quida Mae Drive, which is right behind the old Earl K. Long Hospital, around 8 p.m.

Police are searching for 31-year-old Yovanni Anibal Ramos-Salazar who also lives on Quida Mae.

Detectives say Guevara was shot multiple times outside of his residence. Police say the shooting happened after a brief argument between the two.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
