BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man was booked in jail on rape charges after police on patrol were contacted by the victim.

Baton Rouge Police say that they arrested Christopher Haney, 40, on Thursday during a patrol in the Gardere area. Officers saw the victim being chased by Haney.

Upon making contact with the victim, she told officers that she was sexually assaulted by Haney. According to the victim, Haney invited her into his bedroom where she was thrown on the bed and held against her will.

The victim says that she told the accused to stop multiple times. She says that once Haney let go, she was able to make an escape.

Police say that Haney admitted to having sex with and restraining the victim, and ignored her cries to stop because “she appeared to want to continue,” according to a report by Baton Rouge Police.

Haney was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a forcible rape charge.

A few visitors learned to never turn their back on a tiger. Fortunately, this tiger was in an enclosed space.
