BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Crews were called out to a fire early Friday morning at a house undergoing renovations.

It happened on Hyacinth Avenue near Perkins Road and Bluebonnet Avenue in Baton Rouge.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department reported the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but foul play is not suspected.

Neighbors said the fire started around 4:30 a.m. and huge flames were shooting out of the roof of the home.

Officials said firefighters arrived on the scene to find flames rising from the attic. They added firemen were able to save the home by putting out the blaze in less than 20 minutes after getting there, but it still had significant damage.

No one was inside the house at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
