BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The East Baton Rouge School Board now has the name of their next superintendent.
The deadline to apply for the job was 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Ten people have applied for the position:
The board will review the ten candidates before narrowing it down to a few finalists. Those final candidates will met with the board for interviews in the coming weeks.
The board hopes to announce who will replace the current superintendent, Dr. Bernard Taylor, in April.
Dr. Taylor's contract expires at the end of June.
