BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Metro Councilwoman Tara Wicker describes her District 10 as downtown and beyond.
Wicker held a 'Tell Tara' meeting at First United Methodist Church for the people in her district.
The Downtown Development District, Baton Rouge Police, CATS, downtown merchants, civic associations, business people were invited to talk with crowd in the information session.
"We really want people to leave here feeling like downtown is the best place on the planet to be," said Wicker. "That it is the living room of Baton Rouge, it's growing, it's developing, it's safe, and um, we want everybody in the city to have the opportunity to come down and enjoy the revitalization that's happening in this area."
Wicker pointed out that businesses like IBM and Onyx find downtown is a good place to do business.
