GONZALES, LA (WAFB) - Three men have plead guilty to an armed robbery that took place in 2012.
Tyrone Tolliver, 22, Roderick Jones, 20, and Lionel Caire, 22, pleaded guilty to robbing a young Gonzales couple coming home from a movie theater in 2012.
Reports say that when the couple got home, the robbers confronted them and held the couple up at gunpoint. The victims were then forced into the home while Toliver, Jones, and Caire stole multiple items from the home.
Police say that among the items stolen, were two cars. Inside one of the cars was four legally-owned handguns.
Jones and Tolliver were arrested in New Orleans later that evening after being spotted in one of the stolen cars. Caire was arrested later after being found at Tolliver's house.
Tolliver was sentenced to 30 years, and Jones was sentenced to 35 years for their role in the robberies. Caire's sentencing is pending, awaiting the outcome of a court ordered sentencing report.
