BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Capital Area Transit System is offering a shuttle service this year for the 30th annual St. Patrick's Day parade.
The Shamrock Shuttle will have three different routes to help people get to the Wearin' of the Green Parade on Saturday, March 14. The shuttle is $4 for a roundtrip ride. Two of the routes are for people going to see the parade and one is for parade participants early in the morning.
The first route for parade participants runs from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. starting at LSU Lot 109 down Stanford to the Catholic Life Center on Acadian. The second route also starts at LSU Lot 109, but the drop off point is Perkins Road. That route runs repeatedly from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
There is also a downtown route that runs counter-clockwise from the parking lots under I-110 to the City-Brooks Parks which is about mid-way along the parade route. This route also goes from 8 a.m to 2:30 p.m. and has a pickup stop at the Hotel Indigo.
The first two routes run from LSU Lot 109 to different locations.
Additionally, Uber is offering a $20 credit for new riders on that day. The promo code is STPADDYSBR and will be called until March 30.
