BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A survivor of human trafficking spoke to a crowd at LSU on Wednesday night.

Chong Kim's story of sex slavery inspired the movie "Eden" about human trafficking.

"I want them to be aware of the danger signs and especially like, movies like, I hate to say this but, "50 Shades of Grey." One of the things that, one of the red flags to look for is domestic violence and what leads up to that that later becomes a danger sign of human trafficking," said Kim.

Kim lives in Dallas and travels the country telling the story of how she left with her boyfriend on a trip to his parents and was instead kidnapped by him. For over two years Kim was drugged and used as a sex slave.

LSU Campus life sponsored Kim's appearance at the LSU Union Cotillion Ballroom.
