Judges host Africa-American history program at federal courthouse

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A group of judges hosted the 20th Annual African American History Month Program at the Baton Rouge Federal Courthouse on Thursday.

Everrett Parker and the Greater Mount Carmel Male Quartet entertained the crowd in the morning.

The featured guest speaker was the honorable Chief Justice Bernette Joshua Johnson of the Louisiana Supreme Court.

She talked about voting rights and how far America has come with civil rights issues.

Students from Scotlandville attended the ceremony.
