BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Students at the Christa McAuliffe Superintendent Academy celebrated black history Wednesday.
Through song, dance and poetry, students celebrated the lives of influential civil rights leaders.
Mayor Kip Holden was the keynote speaker. He shared his life story of obstacles and success to inspire kids that anything is possible with the right attitude.
This was the second year the school has held a black history month program.
