BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Investigators are searching for an arsonist after a fire destroyed a vacant house Monday night.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department reported it happened on St. Joseph Street a little after 8 p.m.
The cause has been ruled arson. Authorities said the house had been boarded up for a couple of years.
Firefighters said when they made it to the scene flames were shooting out of the back of the house.
They added two points of origin were later found in the house.
The house is considered a total loss.
No injuries were reported.
