BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The race to fill an East Baton Rouge House of Representatives seat is headed to a run-off next month.
Current Metro Council member Buddy Amoroso and former council member Darrell Ourso, both republicans will face off for the 66th District.
Amoroso and Ourso finished the primary within 100 votes of each other. Rick Bond, a republican, and Susan Nelson, who had no party affiliation, also ran for the seat.
The seat that covers the Southeast part of East Baton Rouge opened up when former Representative Hunter Greene was elected to be a family court judge in Baton Rouge.
The run-off is set for March 28.
