Baton Rouge and Gonzales Police Departments looking for credit card theft suspect

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Baton Rouge Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a suspect who is accused of a credit card theft.

Police say that on February 2, the suspect stole a wallet in the Baton Rouge General Hospital on 8585 Picardy Avenue.

According to a release by BRPD, the suspect purchased several items from stores in the Baton Rouge area totaling almost $2,000.

The Gonzales Police Department have been in contact with Baton Rouge police about this incident, as they believe that the suspect in this case is the same person who stole a credit card on February 2 in Gonzales, then used it at the Tanger Mall.
