BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Firefighters said foul play is not suspected in a fire that destroyed a home early Thursday morning, but they have not yet pinpointed the exact cause.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department reported it happened on North Street at North 30th Street around 3:30 a.m.
Mark Miles with BRFD said firefighters arrived on the scene to find flames shooting out of the back and both sides of the house.
He added the two people inside at the time escaped without injury. According to Miles, it took nearly an hour to get the flames under control.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and is still being investigated.
