NEW ROADS, LA (WAFB) -

A brother and sister are dead after a shooting at a nightclub early Wednesday morning and investigators are looking for their killer.

The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office reported Jamie Croom is wanted on first-degree murder charges in the shooting deaths of Sinica and Lechelle Williams.

Deputies said Croom should be considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Sugar Shack Bar on Mandela Lane in New Roads around 12:30 a.m.

"We do know that there was a fight that initially started inside the club that spilled out to the parking lot," said Capt. Steven Juge with PCPSO. "The victims were not involved in the incident inside the club, but they were involved in the incident that happened outside."

Sheriff Bud Torres says there could be a possibility there is a second suspect in this case.

"There is a whole lot of things that are possible. We are trying to deduce by evidence work through our information to see what we can establish and what we can prove and what exactly happened," said Torres.

Juge added deputies were called to the club earlier Tuesday evening related to a noise complaint and people out in the streets.

Both the suspect and one of the victims have extensive criminal histories. Croom was arrested six times since 2000, with the last one less than a year ago. Sinica Williams was arrested eight times between 2003 and 2013.

Nikki Shines is the cousin to the Williams family. She said the family will now try to push forward.

"Justices is all that we want right now," said Shines. "That's all we can do. We can't do nothing else. We can't change time so justice will be the only thing that will give us some closure right now at this moment," she continued.
