NEW ORLEANS, LA (WAFB) -

New Orleans is the main attraction for Mardi Gras and even the cold weather wasn't enough to keep crowds away.

Zulu rolled at 8 a.m. to kick off the day's festivities, while Rex hit the streets at 10 a.m.

Several parades will follow in Uptown, including Elks of Orleans and Crescent City.

The Krewe of Grela rolled on the Westbank at 10 a.m.

In Metairie, the Krewe of Argus also rolled at 10 a.m. and it was followed by the Krewe of Jefferson.
