ST. MARTIN PARISH, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge attorney was arrested Friday, February 13, 2015 following an investigation by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division.
After an investigation into a report of possible financial abuse against an elderly St. Martin Parish man, investigators discovered that Stanley "Stephen" Spring, 63, Baton Rouge, LA., allegedly stole several items from an elderly client of his.
A subsequent investigation was also completed by Elderly Protective Services.
He was arrested Friday afternoon by the U.S. Marshals Task Force at his Baton Rouge law firm on Airport Avenue. He is currently being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail without bond and is awaiting extradition to St. Martin Parish where he will be booked for theft over $500.
