This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Kathryn Campesi. She's one of many people who reacted to our commentary on the accidents and traffic on the Interstate 10 bridge. Many people are frustrated by this bottleneck and other traffic problems.
In her words: We have needed another bridge crossing the Mississippi River for decades now. However, we need one that bypasses the Intracoastal Waterway. A new bridge is needed south of the present Mississippi river bridge to address the traffic on Highway 1 or the chemical corridor. For decades now, officials have been talking and studying, talking and studying.
I agree with your editorial on the point that we are in a crisis now. It is time for officials to start securing the money.
