Flights resume at BR Metro Airport after runway lights turned back on

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The runway lights at the Baton Rouge Metro Airport were turned back on Monday morning, allowing flights to land again after an outage Sunday night.

Airport official Jim Caldwell said it was determined a small electrical short caused the outage.

The lights went out around 8 p.m., leading to cancellations for two outbound and two inbound flights.

Several flights landed Monday morning, but there are still some delays.
