BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The two men arrested in connection with several apartment break-ins near LSU are free on bond.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported Christopher Bennet, 21, and Travone Eames, 20, were released after they each posted $4,500 bond.

They are both charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and resisting arrest.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said at least three apartments were burglarized at the University View apartment complex Friday afternoon.

When officers arrived on scene, they reportedly spotted two men running from the complex.

Authorities said police used a stun gun to stop the first suspect when he was eventually located.

They added the second suspect was found nearby a short time later.
