BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Students at a Baton Rouge elementary school received a brand new playground Monday.
Business and community leaders joined students at Bernard Terrace Elementary to cut the ribbon at the new playground.
It was paid for by $30,000 in donations to Capital One bank's place-based initiative.
"It's fantastic," said Ric Kearny with Capital One. "That's what it's there for. Work off that nervous energy and hopefully make the teacher's job a little easier."
The playground is decked out with two slides, a rock wall and more for kids of all ages.
