BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - More than 120 volunteers build a playground for another Baton Rouge school.
Volunteers with the LSU Community Playground Project began to build the playground at Bernard Terrace Elementary school on Friday with construction continuing on Saturday.
The project started three years ago when students at Bernard Terrace Elementary worked with engineering students from LSU. They were able to pick colors and various elements that the kids would eventually see in the finished product.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at the school on Monday, February 2 at 10 a.m. This will be the 30th playground that the project has built.
