A Baton Rouge survivor of the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting in 2012 shared her love story on a national stage Tuesday.

Bonnie Kate Zoghbi joined her husband, Max, on the Steve Harvey Show.

"You guys got married in May?" Harvey asked.

"Oh my goodness, yes," Bonnie Kate answered. "I mean, I have lots of nerve damage and deep bone pain and I really don't know what I would do without Max. I'm just so grateful. I couldn't do it without you."

"I feel like every day I outkicked my coverage," Max said. "Clearly, I mean..."

"Way out your league? I know the feeling. But listen. You guys have an amazing story and we want to help you write the next chapter, so we're going to send you all on a five-night beach front trip to the Aruba Marriott Resort," Harvey added.

Max is a filmmaker. He said on the show that he proposed with a fake movie trailer and a scavenger hunt.
